Terms of Service

Effective October 24, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Executive Edge, LLC, which operates ScrubGuard. By using the ScrubGuard API or website you agree to them.

The service

ScrubGuard detects and redacts, masks or tokenizes personal information and secrets in text and JSON. Detection is pattern based and cannot catch every case. You are responsible for reviewing whether its output meets your own privacy, security and compliance needs before you rely on it.

Plans and billing

Your API key

Your key is shown once after checkout. Keep it secret and do not share it. You are responsible for use of your key. Tell us at scrubguard@fastmail.com if it may have leaked.

Acceptable use

Do not use ScrubGuard to break the law, to attack or overload the service, to get around its rate limits or quotas, or to resell raw access to the API. We may suspend keys or block traffic that does.

Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue Pro, we will refund any unused prepaid period.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Executive Edge, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for ScrubGuard in the 12 months before the claim.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. We may update them by posting a new version on this page; continued use after an update means you accept it. Questions: scrubguard@fastmail.com.
